Hyunjoo is the founder and instructor of Studio VC.  Her journey as a maker started when she studied for a bachelor's in fine arts, concentrating in Fiber at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. That is where she first learned to weave. Her love for textiles grew deeper when she discovered that her grandmother was also a weaver. She continued her studies at Pratt Institute in New York for Industrial Design, but making objects with her hands brought her the most joy. She loves to experiment with various materials and techniques to tell her stories. She currently works as an art instructor in the Seattle area and continues to create more work.
